Open House

On a recent beautiful Southern California night, Classic Party Rentals San Diego re-introduced the capabilities of their new 72,000-square-foot warehouse. The special Open House event was themed “The Many Colors of Classic.” Kathy Wright of Kathy Wright & Co., Mary Noble of Classic Weddings and Rachel Peniche of Plan It San Diego – three of the area’s most high-profile planners and designers – helped create this memorable event. Guests circulated through the Showroom, Client Suite and Conference Room to view extravagant displays and high-end tabletop items from Unique Tabletop Rentals. They sipped Blue Hypnotic “Classic Cocktails” while bright neon gobos hovered overhead bearing messages of “Create”, “Inspire”, “Design” and “Explore”. They also enjoyed a red-carpet tour of the uplit warehouse showcasing Classic’s stainless-steel kitchen equipment and newest items and linen colors.

The colorful main party area was actually the company’s loading dock, fully transformed, draped and carpeted. Each loading dock cage, for example, held stylish table settings and high-end linens in imaginative configurations. Designer 8* Furniture Rental’s gorgeous crystal chandeliers hung in the Chocolate Lounge above scrumptious desserts, as well as in the Classic Black & White themed area. Above the Fiery Red area hung a custom martini glass chandelier designed by Kathy Wright & Co. The four-sided white leather tufted bar (also from Designer 8*) served tasty libations poured into specialty glassware, while Festivities Catering, TK & A Custom Catering and Crown Point Catering provided unbelievably delicious tapas.

Entertainment was courtesy of a sophisticated jazz band and a group of curvy Contortionists. This attention-grabbing act balanced on Chiavari chairs and performed acrobatics on our black & white dance floor to the song “Roxanne.” At the end of the night guests left happy – their swag bags full of useful special-event tools. And they were given a complete picture of how Classic Party Rentals San Diego can do it all from Tent Top to Tabletop.
